For as long as I can remember, I’ve always had a real love for classic vintage fashion. I mean, who doesn’t love all the big screen actresses from the 50’s and 60’s? Grace, Audrey, Marilyn, Ginger….I could go on and on. Each time I catch Audey Hepburn in Sabrina, I’m instantly planted in my chair. I can’t take my eyes off of her. Talk about lighting up a screen! That woman had more than her fair share of poise and elegance.
So, when Shabby Apple contacted me a few weeks back, you can imagine my delight! I’ve loved their clothing line for quite some time now. I remember how thrilled I was to find a company that focused on making timeless, polished pieces for women in that same vein of the Old Hollywood starlets.
This vibrant pink taffeta blouse from their online site has SUCH great shape and structure. I especially love the neckline detail that subtly harkens back to the days of classic glamour. A peplum bottom and back zipper allow for a close, streamlined fit.
In a word: perfect.
I felt right off that this classic navy polka dot skirt was the right choice for it, along with some updated pearls and a navy trimmed clutch.
So, if classic, sophisticated shapes with bold color are your thing, stay tuned! I will be sharing another look from Shabby Apple in the coming week or so!
Until next time, lovelies!
