Birdy’s Nola: Your Next New Orleans Brunch Spot

Brunch in New Orleans

My hometown of New Orleans is always my first choice when it comes to finding charming little places to do dinner or brunch. Somehow I recently stumbled on Birdy’s Nola on Magazine Street and knew I had to give it a try.

If pretty, girly details are your thing and you love a good brunch menu, Birdy’s Nola is going to be high on your “must try” list when you’re visiting New Orleans.

With equally charming indoor and covered outdoor seating options available, you can’t go wrong wherever you decide to dine here at Birdy’s. If it’s a beautiful day, I would definitely recommend sitting outside among all the gorgeous greenery that’s there. You can take a peek at it here.

What we ate

My friend and photographer, Ali, and I had a little trouble settling on what to choose. From the avocado toast to the decadent french toast, there were so many delicious options on the menu. In the end, we left it up to our server, who suggested the most perfectly instagrammable Brunch Board.

With mini donuts, granola, a slab of bacon, hot coppa, bubble waffles, fruit, seasonal jam, mini cookies, mini pancakes, house syrup, triple crème brie, and soft boiled eggs, it was, as you can imagine, AMAZING! My favorite thing on it were the little mini donuts. So yummy! I would highly recommend bringing a friend or two to share this with, as it was quite a lot of food.

In addition to their brunch board, they also offer sandwiches, salads and bowls as well. So you’ll have plenty of things to choose from if sweets aren’t your thing. I’m definitely going to be trying the huevos rancheros bowl on my next visit.

What we drank

I opted for an iced mocha latte and Ali got the iced matcha latte. Both were delicious and paired well with our brunch board. In addition to coffee and teas, Birdy’s Nola also offers smoothies, cocktails, mocktails, wine and beer.
