This is an outfit I’ve had in my mind since the fall. The skirt sat cut out and unsewn on my studio worktable during the hectic holiday season but I was determined to get it finished up in time for my birthday(seemed like a good enough excuse to get it done).
As much as I love bold bright colors, there’s something about a blush/taupe combination that just makes me happy on the inside. And for whatever reason, I tend to think bridal when I think of the color blush. So, I figured while I was going that route, I’d throw in a bridal sash to really drive home that princess-y feeling. I searched and searched for just the right top to go with this skirt and was thrilled to stumble on it here in our local Forever 21 store. I couldn’t find it online, but I’ve linked to a few other very similar options.
The sequin clutch was always part of the plan for the skirt as well(this gal’s gotta have a little sparkle!). Nude/blush sequin ANYTHING is right up my alley, honestly. And because the blush casual bag option coordinated too perfectly to leave out, we took some photos with it as well. One for a little more casual look and the other for when the glam mood strikes.
