Flying Monkey and Monograms

Flying Monkey and Monograms

I love a great mix of pattern and textures, but sometimes all you need are some great basics and a few standout accessories to really pull a polished look together. And a crisp white oxford and some high quality denim are a great starting point.

So, East and Lo just recently launched a new collection of denim called Flying Monkey, and these jeggings are part of that line. I cannot even tell you how absolutely comfortable they are! I especially love the classic dark wash! I have a pretty good feeling I’ll be hanging out in these a lot this fall and winter.

I’ve always had a thing for emerald green in the cooler months. I’m not sure what it is about it, but somehow I just feel a bit more polished and sophisticated when wearing it. And this gem of a necklace certainly takes that feeling up a notch! The simplicity of the design is the perfect compliment to all that glorious sparkle!

Monograms just make everything better, don’t they? Here in the south, we monogram everything we possibly can….I mean, everrryyyy thing. As Reese Witherspoon so perfectly stated, “….if it’s not moving, monogram it.” That about sums the southern mentality on this topic. So, when this clutch hit my door step, I will admit to letting out a squeal or two. It manages to incorporate two of my very favorite things….a rich tortoise texture and a monogram. So fabulous. If you’re a monogram junkie as well, definitely check out all the color options they offer in this piece. Lot to choose from!

I agree! I feel most comfortable in non-fiddly clothes, too. I think dressing up basics is the funnest part of getting dressed everyday. I’m betting you do live in those jeggings too, live that dark wash!
