Hi friends! Hope your week is going well! So I realized the other day that I have not done a fitness post since last spring. Yikes! Total fail on my part. Today we’re going to fix that!

I hopped on Instastories yesterday for a couple of minutes to share that I had recently re-downloaded the Couch Potato to 5K app to help get me back on track with my running. While I’ve tried to do my best at keeping up with my gym workouts since November, I definitely have much room for improvement. Now, the old me would have thrown in the towel if I couldn’t keep at it all perfectly, but I’ve finally embraced the “do the best you can” mentality…and it’s been so freeing not beating myself up over missing a workout or not being able to do as many push ups as I could six months ago. Life is peaks and valleys. Sometimes you’re at the top of your game and sometimes you’re not.

Initially the decision of using personal training sessions could be a little confusing, but once you decide to undergo personal training sessions, you are bound to experience positive results. Fitness sessions provide you with a specific direction to help you learn the proper techniques of performing certain exercises. They also help you to stay focused and committed towards your goal so that you experience maximum health benefits.

It is not necessary that the actual reason behind not losing weight or gaining muscles is lack of exercise. But it could be that you are not performing the exercises correctly or maybe you are not performing the correct exercise. A personal training session can actually asses your current workout schedule and provide you with correct guidelines which might be needed to help you gain benefits to your full potential. Here you get the best one on one personal training for your fitness.

Your fitness trainer will demonstrate all exercises to you step by step. Your fitness trainer will ensure that your body posture and movements are maintained correctly so that you do not land up in a health injury.

First of all, one thing you should always remember is that your physical trainer should be your friend and not just a trainer.

Check the qualifications and work experience of the physical trainer. Do not put your body fitness into the hands of a novice. Go for a certified personal trainer! Refer to his/her previous work or success percentages.

Let’s face it, finding a great personal trainer isn’t easy. You can take your chances at a gym, risk finding a trainer that may or may not be qualified, or you can take some of the advice I am giving you to go make the task easy for you, and enjoy your personal training!

Some personal trainers are not just certified, but also go through additional training and they’re well versed in all of the best in-home training techniques available to help you trim and tone.

After all, training at home is different than training at a gym where machines are designed primarily for people that want to build muscle, not trim and tone. Additionally, In home trainers are usually more experienced in yoga, and Pilates so they can always keep your workouts interesting and fun.

The important thing though if you’re struggling to get back into or start your fitness journey is to JUST START.

Where ever you are, guys.

Right now, I’m doing one minute runs via that app I mentioned before. One minute, you guys. That’s all my body will muster right now. But you know what? It won’t be long and I’ll be back to running 30 minutes straight again without feeling like I’m going to die. Ha!

I encourage you to get out there and just wipe the fitness slate clean if you’re in a funky place with it right now. Figure out what might help motivate you to get back into physical activity. Is it new workout gear? The promise of a glass of wine at the end of the day? Switching from barre to yoga? We all have those things that set us on fire and help to get us excited about doing something. Find your “thing” and go for it, friends!
