Hey, who here remembers your older sister wearing the clothing brand Units when you were younger? My hand is waving wildly right now. Ha!
If you have no idea what I’m talking about, it was an 80s clothing brand that was made up of pretty much nothing but knit rectangle squares that you could mix and match colors with and wear them a million different ways with coordinating pieces. Pretty sure my sister’s high school graduation dress was 100 % Units. Looking at those photos is like a time warp! Ha!
That said, I’m so happy to see how far we’ve come with coordinating sets and that they’re back in a big way again, guys.
Because let’s be honest. Nothing beats a no-thought-required outfit option first thing in the morning, am I right?
When you’re looking for coordinating sets, try looking for neutral pieces (solid colors will give you the most wearing options) and timeless shapes. For example, the cardigan with this skirt set can easily be used without the skirt and vice versa.
Have you guys tried out coordinating sets lately? What do you think?
