Learning to Love the Maxi

We all have certain styles that make us feel our best and I have to be honest in telling you that the summer maxi dress was never a look that I particularly leaned toward for myself. I LOVE them on other ladies, but I guess being on the shorter side, I worried that the length would make me feel even shorter. Something crazy has happened recently though and I’ve done a total 360 on my personal stance where the maxi is concerned! Consider me a total summer maxi believer now. I get it. They are SO easy and comfortable to wear in the sweltering summer heat. And I love the put-together, sophisticated edge they give you. In short, it’s a total win-win. No idea why I didn’t get on board sooner.

I spotted this floral maxi from one of my very favorite brands on major sale recently and I knew I had to give it a try. The fit and style details on it are perfect. Highly recommend! I also wore this perfect LWD of theirs on Instagram a few weeks back. It’s been such a great summer staple for me!

I kept my accessories a bit on the neutral side with my favorite go-to crossbody and lace-up sandals. Seriously, these two pieces have been such great investments for so many of my summer looks. The sandals are now on sale for under $100 right now too! I wear them NON-STOP.
