T3 Whirl Trio

T3 Whirl Trio

Ever since I got the opportunity to experience the T3 Proi Dryer several weeks back(you can find that post here), I’ve been seriously itching to try out their interchangeable styling wand, the T3 Whirl Trio Styling Wand. Because I love, love using my dryer every week, I knew it was highly likely I would love their wand as well. And I was SO right. The quality, the sleek white and gold design, the versatility with being able to change out the barrels….SO fantastic.

If you’re not yet familiar with the system, it’s really quite genius, I have to say. Some days you want different looks from your wand/curing iron, am I right? This one gives you the option to change out the barrels to various sizes, from clip barrels to tapered wands. You just click and lock them in the base and they are ready to go. No buying four completely different tools and having to store them all. The interchangeable wands take up half the space of a standard styling tool. As a gal who’s bathroom drawer is always bursting at the seams, I appreciate that so much…as does my hubby.

So I typically always reach for a tapered wand, which is what I started out with here on this day with the Tousled Waves barrel that came in the trio set. I then finished up the top section with the 1 inch straight barrel. The first thing I noticed is how quickly they heat up. We’re talking mere seconds and it’s ready to roll. It’s gets super hot and creates really sturdy curls, which I love given how quickly my hair tends to relax depending on the day’s humidity. You can certainly create more of a wave rather than a curl and I’ve been playing a lot with the 1.5 inch Loose Waves wand(comes in the trio set) lately. So much fun to be able to create different looks!

These two other attachments are available separately as well.

(1) The 1 inch Clip Barrel (Defined Curls)

and

(2) The 1.25 inch Clip Barrel (Polished Curls)

My hair routine starts out with a few products help to combat the humidity and frizz(linked those up for you up top). My shampoo, conditioner, and anything else that goes in after that has some kind of smoothing ingredients in them. Then I do a quick rough dry with my Proi Dryer and round brush it out a bit until it’s completely dry and smoothed out.

After that it’s just a matter of sectioning off the hair and wrapping around the wand for a few seconds. This one gets super hot, so you don’t want to leave it in too long. One thing I did definitely want to recommend is to use the glove that comes with this set. Seriously. Just looking at this photo below makes my finger start burning. Ha! No idea why I didn’t put that finger saver on. (I can’t even count the number of days I’ve walked around with a seared thumb and melted off nail polish.) Learn from my mistakes, friends.  ðŸ˜‰

Here’s my beloved T3 Proi Dryer. If you’re in the market for a new one, I can’t say enough great things about this one. I didn’t know just how lacking my old dryer was until I got my hands on this one.

I just got this as well and have been loving playing with the different curls. I really want to add the 1.25 clip barrel to my collection!

Yay!! Don’t you love it?! So fun to play with and try new looks! The 1.25 clip barrel is great….I love how firmly it grips the hair so it doesn’t slip out as you’re trying to curl it. I had that problem with my old wand and it drove me a bit batty. 🙂 Thanks so much, Amanda!
