Something I’ve never really appreciated fully until the past couple of years is the power of a great quality basic. I was ALL about the showstopper pieces. While I still tend to lean toward those types of clothing pieces, I’ve come around to the idea of finding a great pair of denim, etc. that I can wear year after year with other pieces. So, while $200 jeans may be a bit high on the price tag, I definitely feel better about buying those as opposed to a nice dress for the same price that I may only wear a time or two.
This olive tank is going to be one I know I’ll reach for time and time again this spring and summer…and even into fall with a jacket. The quality is fantastic and the color will always work. The same goes for these jeans. They are a creamy white, which I tend to favor when it comes to denim. I don’t worry about them looking dingy over time.
What are your favorite types of basics for your closet?
ps….I just posted about several great white basics for the new season ahead last week.
