Hiya, friends! Hope your week is going well so far, but if you’re struggling to get the productivity ball rolling, consider us sisters from another mister! Ha! I’m having a major case of the “Distractions are out To Doom Me” these days. But, this too shall pass, friends. Let’s keep our heads up and extend ourselves some grace right now.
If you live in a warmer climate, year-round like I do, do you find it a challenge to dress for early fall when it technically feels JUST like summer outside? (I’m raising my hand wildly right now) Here’s the revelation I came to recently….get ready ’cause it’s big….
Early fall dressing in the south is merely summer dressing done in fall colors.
Ha! Bet you couldn’t figure that one out on your own, could ya?
Seriously though, during this transition time I usually pair up a thin sweater or cardigan with either some denim shorts or a cute fall skirt like this one in today’s post. Then to really drive home the “it’s fall” vibe, I like to throw on a good neutral wide brim hat and some booties.
Here are a few other combinations to think about too as you get dressed right now.
(click on any of the thumbnails below to shop that piece)
1. Your favorite jeans with a camisole and a good lightweight fall blazer.
2. A pair of nice black leggings with a camisole and a loose, long cardigan and booties.
3. A basic tee shirt with a lightweight, loose fall colored scarf draped around your neck with your favorite denim.
4. A basic tee shirt with a utility vest and your favorite jeans or denim skirt.
5. A loose fitting shift knit dress with a loose, long cardigan and booties.
Hope that gives you some ideas to play with this week! And speaking of hope, may we’ll all see some REAL fall temps very soon! This girl is ready to bundle up in some of her big cozy sweaters!
