The older I’ve gotten, the more I’ve learned the value of having great staple pieces in my closet (It takes me a while sometimes, but I eventually figure things out😉).
Two things every wardrobe should have, in my opinion, is a great little black dress and a polished black jumpsuit. Not only are they timeless, but they will always make you feel like a million bucks.
This black jumpsuit hits all the right notes with fit and detail. I paired it with some nude pumps to add a little leg length, but a strappy black heel would look great as well. And if you need al little extra coverage for your arms, a nicely tailored black blazer is a perfect option.
Now, let’s chat little black dresses AKA the LBD.
I feel like a little black dress can come across a little boring sometimes. For me, a LBD has to have something a little special about it, whether that’s a style detail of some kind or if it’s done in a more luxe or interesting fabric. The little black dress I’m wearing here fits both of those bills. The substantial satin fabric, the tiny lace detail on the bodice, the polished corset design….*chef’s kiss*.
I love this for a night out with some strappy heels and a black leather blazer thrown over your shoulders.
