I find the fall season to be the most fun for achieving an elevated look. Whether it’s the more luxe fabrics or the more sophisticated color palettes, with a tiny bit of effort, it’s really a breeze to look like a million bucks!
I’m sharing some of the key pieces that I turn to year after year for my fall and winter looks.
1. Flattering Pair of Slim Cut Jeans
I think we can all agree that a good fall outfit often involves denim. The versatility of a great fitting pair of slim cut jeans can not be overstated here. When it comes to making wardrobe investments, my money will always go toward quality denim and neutral bags. I quickly fell in love with this pair of slim-fitting jeans with the slight kick at the split hemline recently and can’t get over how comfortable they are to wear for hours on end.

2. Neutral Structured Bag
For me, personally, a great quality polished bag has always been the key piece that pulls a look together and gives me confidence. Not exactly sure how a bag can make me feel confident, but here we are. Ha! The Marina Bucket Bag I wore above comes in three sizes. Mine is the middle size (the mini) and it’s been perfect for carrying all my necessities without it overwhelming my smaller height.
Things I look for in a potential bag purchase are versatility in both size and color, a nice smooth or pebbled leather, good pockets and a removable shoulder strap.

3. High Waisted Leather Shorts or Pants
So I counted the other day….
I currently have 9 pairs of faux leather shorts and 4 pairs of leather pants in my closet. Ha! And guess what? Every year I add more to it and wear each and every pair every fall, winter and spring transition season!
I am a leather shorts girl through and through. I guess some of it is living in the south. We like to look like fall even though it’s 90 degrees in October. You understand. lol
I’m wearing my newest olive pair below and they check all the boxes for me. High Waisted, not crazy short and have a relaxed fit.
